1) are you allowed to bring contact solutions into the plane? (do they make you test it?)
2) would you have to put a contact lense container (w/ the liquid solution in it) in a clear plastic bag for screening?

just wondering.... becuz i go to japan tomorrow and i have contacts.
the only problem is, i lose a LOT of stuff, so im afraid i might lose the glasses (thats what i did last year)... but you're not allowed to bring in contact solutions all that because of the new 'no liquid' policy, right?
which is better/more comfortable?

**i dont like wearing glasses because they make me look really ugly... some people look good wearing glasses but i don't. i dont wanna show up at the airport w/ all my friends greeting me there and look really really ugly.

If their flight was cancelled do they get a flight voucher? Are they stuck on standby when the airport resumes flights, with priority going to people who have tickets for a Friday flights?

If yes, which airport and airline?

We are flying from San Diego to Australia and we are not sure if we should use a car seat or let my wiggly three year old sit with an airline harness on the seat. Our concerns are that we want her to be able to use the tray and the last car seat we used was too high for this. We also want it to be the safest way and an easy way for her to nap. Does anyone have any suggestions of the best way to travel with toddlers? Thanks so much!

What happens to the people that get stranded at the airport(because of weather)? If you are on a tight budget with no additional money for food or necessities then does the airport provide you with meals or anything??

I'm really scared of heights, actually, more of that I don't have control while being that high in the air on a plane, piloted by people I don't know and don't trust.
Is there anything I can do to calm myself down on the flight?! I'm fine if its just a little turbulant, but with my luck, most of my flights has been really windy with a lot of decending bumps.
When I take flights over seas, I always take some kind of sleeping pill so I don't notice it, but its just going to be a 2 hour flight on saturday, what can I do to calm myself down?!
I have tried the mind tricks of telling myself I'm not on a plane or what not, but the fear of heights on a plane has been getting worse.

I'm flying to Japan and I was wondering if there is any power source where I can plug an adaptor to power my ipod or laptop inside the airplane?

Someone told me there is a cigarette lighter type power source under the seats on the plane, but I wasn't sure it that was true or not.

Thanks.

I checked online and my flight tomorrow is cancelled. I tried calling United Airlines Number and all I get is the same automated information saying my flight is cancelled. how do I get a hold of a person, or somehow change my flight. Or get a refund.

I REALLY want to get home (LAX-PIT).

Thanks people. You've all been a great help!

1. Need only one pilot, with advanced automation the back up can be ground control to land the plane, no need for copilot. If it works good enough maybe no need for pilot at all, all on ground controls.
2. Pilot also acts as gate agent, and cleans up plane between flights.
3. Passangers carry own luggage out to the plane and put in cargo compartment themselves (like on a bus).
4. Extra charge to use the plane's bathroom, credit card operated door?
5. No complementary drinks (put in a vending machine).
6. No flight attendant (pilot and/or ground control can watch passengers via remote tv camera).
Anyone have any other money saving ideas???
