If their flight was cancelled do they get a flight voucher? Are they stuck on standby when the airport resumes flights, with priority going to people who have tickets for a Friday flights?

They are stuck until flights resume and the airlines will prbably try to add flights but twith the holidays - it could be a while... people with tickets for Friday have first dibs on the Friday flights... even though the people from today are stuck. I always thought that was a bummer!

You have to be proactive and contact the airline. I am stuck in Denver since early Wed. I called United - took almost an hour to talk to a human, although the customer service is in India - and very hard to understand. Anyway - I am booked for a 4:30pm flight on Friday. Unfortunately, most of the people stranded at the airport are scheduled for Saturday, Sunday or Monday.
I was told that if my flight gets canceled this time - then it will be Monday or Tuesday before I get out.

Cancelled flights are the way Denver repopulates itself.

No one ever moved to Denver--they were just stuck at the airport so long they eventually bought a house to stay in until the flights resume.

i just heard on the news that the weather is supposed to be breaking on Sunday. and that all the ppl that were canelled they can proceed to their new flights. but there still not sure if they can actually fly, it just depends on the weather and the wind (drifts of snow is making it the big problem now). and to answer ur question, they cannot fly out of denver, and if they wanted to fly out of somewhere in Colorado thats not getting ANY bad weather, then they would have to pay for their own flights. or get different transporation with their own type of payment. Hope this Help. God Bless!!♥

if your talking about what is happening in denver now NO ONE is getting ANY flight out anywhere. They will have to wait until they have the all clear to take off again.

They have to wait until the airport reopens, unless they decide upon some other type of transportation.
