My son is coming home on a 2 week leave from Iraq.
He is in Kuwait right now, and is supposed to leave for Atlanta then on to Massachusetts.
Does he have to stop in Germany on the way?
Thanks.

Almost all of the flights out of the middle east connect through Europe, I flew from Kuwait City to Chicago connecting through Frankfurt Germany and the entire flight took 21 hours including layovers.

Depending on his layover(s) his flight from Kuwait to Atlanta should take about 25-29 hours. Keep in mind that your husband will be suffering from 7-8 hours of jetlag, so give him time to get over that by sleeping it off even though you'll probably want to be doing stuff with him. It takes a few days to get over it, so be patient. Other than that, make his favorite foods, do something memorable together (take a trip to Stone Mt or something to see the leaves changing, etc) and enjoy each other's company. Try to avoid making him feel guilty when it's time to leave. The best thing you can do is be supportive of what he's doing in the military, let him know how much you love and miss him, and that he's the most important person in your life. It means more to him than you know.

If you can get a direct flight from Kuwait, 17 hours 38 minutes and 7,090 statute miles. You can get flight time estimates from/to any worldwide airports at: http://www.jets.com/
