I need to know what accomodation i can get in Dubai for 1000 dirhams.Could someone tell me what are the general charges when it comes to renting a decent room in Dubai.

I have had a look on Google Earth and it looks like it is just along the coast. I suppose there are flights but can it be driven or maybe possible to take a train or something. Grateful for someone who knows the area.

Thanks to those who got back about vaccinations for Dubai. I think I'll have to see my GP just incase because some people have told me it's better to get it, others have said it's not necessary. Was hoping everyone would go with the latter as I'm not a fan of needles...Ashwin, you said it's COLD out there right now? (Noo!) How cold would you say it is (centigrade-wise)? I'm going in early feb and will be staying in Bur Dubai. I thought it was warm-ish around then, not cold...any rain?

Me and my boyfriend want to go to Dubai on holiday this year, but i can't find it on the usual holiday sights - first choice, thomson etc. (we are from the UK) i am also typing in saudi arabia and the middle east but still doesnt bring anything up, does anyone knwo any places that arrange holidays to dubai?? 1 person is our group is a Taiwan (republic of china) citizen. We will be traveling to Dubai in 2 weeks. We will be traveling on Emirates going to Dubai and returning to US via Alitalia Air. Am not sure which visa he should apply for. I have looked at hotel sponsored visa, but we will be staying at 2 different hotels during our stay. Some hotels say you need to stay at their hotel the entire time for them to sponsor, which may cause a problem as we will be staying at 2 different ones during our stay. Please advise! Also, if through a Tour Company visa..any recommendations as to which one? Thanks!

in Dubai, only hotels can sell alcohol to the public, and so all bars are connected to hotels in some way. I'm hoping to stay at the hotel connected to the Hard Rock Cafe, but cannot locate it's IDENTITY !!! contact details for accommodation wanted.
