I've been several times. It is my favorate holiday destination, even when I was a single white girl. It is very safe, there is lots to do, great restuarants, even better shopping and a good nightlife to boot. It is also very interesting culturally to see the mix of East and West there. The Emirati's have their traditions but they are totally excepting of Western culture. It is fun to go to City Center Mall and watch the contrast between the parents in traditional dress and the kids dressed like Britney Spears and Eminem.

It is good to just see it. it also depends where you are coming from because if you have a better place of going and settling down then do so. Dubai is a very expensive country and it is becoming expensive by the month, I shop in london and u.s instead of dubai its alot cheaper.
Even for cooking a meal it would be worth more to go to a nice restaurant and dine because the prices are horrible for NO GOOD REASON. There is no tax, but inderectly they are taking tax from you a good example of that is they have introduces ( municipality service) in the receiepts for rastuarants and soon you will see it all over.
Another thing is it is tooo sunny, and if you come from the cold, you will not like the sun all the time, if you are used to the different season , after a while you get bored here. Not much activity, everything is pricy here to do.
Traffic is BAD! everything is far away.
The jobs pay lower than the jobs outside, that is why i am moving. Because you dont get to save witht he amount of rent you need to pay, and also note rent goes up by 15% every three months .. now is 7% so go do a research. Because lifestyles are different and maybe for your lifestyle it would be appropriate.

I don't think a single pagan female would be able to move freely about and truly see what Dubai is like, so my answer is no.
