Most of the bulk holiday companies like Thomson have not got past Sharm el Sheik yet. Try Emirates airlines, they can do a flight and hotel deal. I'd go to Jordan rather than Saudi Arabia. You need a visa to get into most Middle East countries except UAE (Dubai) and Jordan (buy it on arrival).

Compare the flights, cars and accommodation in Dubai seperately. You'll likely get a much better deal.

Trailfinders in London will be among several discount flight bookers to check out the prices on airlines.

Cheaper than hotels have last minute [ with free inclusions ] at a large range of hotels, as well as hotels you can book a long way in advance.

For car hire try Fly Drive and Stay which have great car deals locally.

Do your tourist attractions research on Tourism Ranking which has most of the National Tourism Offices listed.

You don't see many package tours to Dubai so you will probably have to arrange your own by booking a flight and hotel separately. Just make sure that there are hotels available for the time you want to go before you book because there are lots of funny festivals and things in Dubai. My best site for booking hotels in Dubai is www.southtravels.com. They have the best rates for all the hotels and they will give you reasonable options if the hotel you picked is full.

When you get there most hotels willl have a good front desk staff who will help you book all your tours and restuarants. Make sure to do a Dhow Dinner cruise, they are quite nice.
