3) 4 Point Sheraton - Bur Dubai (4 Star)
4) The Dhow Palace - Al Mankool/Bur Dubai (4 Star)
For Luxurious Hotels:
1) Al Bustan Rotana - Deria (5 Star)

Yea Hilton, Sheriton, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn (my favourite) etc. all the best names are there, check out company websites for details. Your best bet though, is to book in advance by a couple of weeks at least as their are a lot of Iraqis sheltering there and the prices have gone up 100%+ in the lsat 3 years. You should be able to get 30 to 50 % off if you do it by squabbling with the reservations manager personnally it works in this country. Tell them you are coming on business and dont take no for an answer. 5 Star cost $250-500 give or take for a double, 4 star $150-300. If you squabble you should get 5 star for $150max somewhere.

Depends why you are going there and what you want to do. If you want access to a beach with all the facilities then the Habtoor Grand Resort & Spa at Jumeirah beach is OK. There are 4 or 5 hotels along the beach there but you must be aware of all the construction work going on in the area so if you go there insist on a sea-view room when you book. It really depende what you want and why you are going there. Be more specific and I can give you more advice.

try the Marco Polo which is about a twenty minute drive from the airport and with-in easy walking distance to the dubai creek and shopping malls and the souks.
the hotel has five restaurants, sri lankan, chinese, american, 24 hour buffet and english pub serving pub style meals.
it has a swimming pool as well.
