Thanks to those who got back about vaccinations for Dubai. I think I'll have to see my GP just incase because some people have told me it's better to get it, others have said it's not necessary. Was hoping everyone would go with the latter as I'm not a fan of needles...Ashwin, you said it's COLD out there right now? (Noo!) How cold would you say it is (centigrade-wise)? I'm going in early feb and will be staying in Bur Dubai. I thought it was warm-ish around then, not cold...any rain?

In Dec the avg high was 23 celcius. After living here for 2 years I am freezing...sadly enough I am Canadian lol.
By the beginning of Feb things should be back to normal. Apparantly this is the worst winter that anyone can remember. But things are slowly warming up now and in a months time it should be fine. As for rain, last year it rained mostly in Jan, but it rained alot here in Dec. There shouldn't be much rain in Feb but you never know. Generally the rain here doesnt last for too long, you should be fine. Enjoy your visit to Dubai! If you want some tips on things to do feel free to get ahold of me and i'll give you some tips.

Hot and Humid. Not advisable to travel this time to Dubai. Most of the residents will choose this period (July - August) for vacation.
