Just like in my real life some of you have made my 2007 memories worth preserving. I’ll be logging off in the next twenty four hours for the rest of the year. I need to do this. Pity that some will not see it, but for those who will – this is from the bottom of my heart……

I’ve never met the following people but have the greatest respect for them. If I trampled on your toes, please accept my apology. I am truly sorry!! DV, Porgie, cakes, HD, Jeez, zxcv, Commodore, Tsepo, MJ, JM, Alfie, Bull and Ayiza…..each one of you had contributed to a better person that I believe I’m at the end of 2007……

……Bull and Alfie, I’ll keep on disagreeing with their philosophy but I thank them for offering good debates. I learnt a lot from them

…..sins, the two of us have scores to settle next year….she always left the best for last

……cakes, if there is a person who should be credited for keeping this section of the forum alive, it’s her….…she deserves a standing ovation!!!

………HD, his story of losing everything he worked for and how he is trying to put himself back again is an inspiration……I am amazed by his positive spirit

…… DV, the wounds are healing but the good memory will linger on

……Porgie, he doesn’t know how I appreciate our “Daffodils” encounter

…Commodore, she commanded her family to bring her laptop to the hospital…that was sweet of her and the lesson was that even in pain, don’t lose touch with those close to you…we are her closest virtual family

…..MJ, I enjoyed his provocative, if not controversial questions….it’s a pity some tended to personalise issues

…….Ayiza, I know that HD said he’ll never forgive him for claiming to be God….but overall I enjoyed your cheekiness and HD was hurt but he is a good person, I believe he has forgiven

……. Tsepo, it never stops amazing me how he comes with those “flashing answers”

Is there any event on YA that has left lasting impression on you?

This was in response to Willie V in one of his answers.

Comment on the alarming high rate of local Emirati men marrying non-Emirati women producing the future generations who have two cultural backgrounds. The late great leader Shk Zayed has seen this ahead and even established a Marriage Fund Committee to address the issue but has it been successful?

My result:
You are Milk Chocolate

A total dreamer, you spend most of your time with your head in the clouds.
You often think of the future, and you are always working toward your ideal life.
Also nostalgic, you rarely forget a meaningful moment... even those from long ago.

My result:
Your Superpower Should Be Manipulating Fire

You are intense, internally driven, and passionate.
Your emotions are unpredictable - and they often get the better of you.
Both radiant and terrifying, people are drawn to you.
At your most powerful, you feel like the world belongs to you.

Why you would be a good superhero: You are obsessive enough to give it your all

Your biggest problem as a superhero: Your moodiness would make it difficult to control your powers

Because I'm a Jew, I'm eligible for birthright (an organization that sends Jews to Israel for free) and becuse my older sister is an Israeli fanatic who wants me to be in touch with my Jewish roots. Also my mom was born in Israel.

I really don't want to go but i had trouble disagreeing with the argument "but it's free" so at everyone's nagging I applied for the trip, I wanted to sabatogue my application but my heart wasn't in it, but out of respect to my family who felt it was really important, i answered the questions in a way that made it sound like i actually wanted to go.

Now the trip's a couple weeks away, and what can i say, it doesn't interest me. I'd like to see places of the world i've already been and i've been to Israel before twice (when I was 6 and 8) and I feel guilty because i'll bet there were jews who actually wanted to go on the trip. I think even though it's free, i lose a deposit if i don't go.

- that this is getting really silly now? I mean, it's one thing to have an honest and civilised debate about how things could move forward in the middle east, but that's not what we're doing.

Instead, in this forum there are people who are literally scouring the web for ANYTHING remotely negative about Israel! And when they can't find something, they resort to such desperate ploys as trying to prove that Einstein wasn't a zionist!

As if that's somehow relevant!

I think that if these people are going to be that silly, then those of us who came here for a decent and open debate, should just ignore their posts and answer only the intelligent and relevant ones.

What say you? And do try and keep it civilised. If you are only answering just to insult me, save your energy. I'll just block you and this then reduces the chance of any further dialogue.
