Hi Shadi..
Sorry for telling this, but no one lives happily ever after.
We can be happy, bcoz happiness is maken by little things that happen to us everydays.
It is up to each of us, to learn how to enjoy that little things.
Most of them are very simple, and some are a bit more complicated and have to pay some price for them.
Even...our happiness depends on several things.
1..some pple can be happy (I doubt it) owning expensives objects as cars, luxurious houses, many clothes, and so much money
I dont think all that things bring happiness, ..but, confort..that is not the same
2..another pple can be happy living each day to the maximun without knowing how "the tomorrow" will be. It's an option, bcoz none of us knows if it will be a tomorrow.
3..other ones..try for all the ways to reach happiness with a nice family, caring abt them, being there for friends if they need, helping another pple, and may be without so much money. Is well known that money doesnt make happiness.
For me, happiness is relative. What makes me happy is possible that doesnt make you happy.. But.......being with my family in harmony, healthy, with the most necessary to have a worthy life, good friends, and some things from nature that havent price,,,,,,is my ideal of happiness.

Shadi, I have some bad news for you, you can wait a lifetime but happiness will never come from the outside, it will never be about x problem going away or you getting what you want or even what you need, because we always want and need more and we all are carrying our share of problems.

Happiness is a decision that you have to take within yourself, happiness is hard work because it's about being content with who you are and the cards that life has dealt you and about seeing the value and the beauty of life regardless of your circumstances.
I know this is a cliche, but true, you are not alone, we are all looking at that same glass and the trick is to see it half full not half empty.

"hiding lots of worries and pain"

As long as you hold these in your thoughts, this is always what will come to you.

You will live "happily ever after" as soon as you stop feeling sorry for yourself, stop thinking about what you DON'T want and begin thinking about what you WANT. There is a difference between the two.

You will then begin doing the things to make this happen. Your thoughts will become your actions, your actions will make it a reality.

Its hard to answer this question w/o knowing more such as age etc. But nobody should have to worry this much is there anyone you can talk to, friend, school counselor, religious figure, parent, try to talk to somebody, sometimes just to say your worries out loud can ease the worry.

The problem is that you are too smart. I think that smart people mature very fast and feel as if there's a big weight on their shoulders. You are only 14 and you're already worrying about many things... Maybe even things you shouldn't worry about at your age.

I'd suggest that you take things as they come and try to enjoy them. As Webby said, you are the only one who decides whether you want to be happy or not. That is something I have learned very recently and I'm still finding it hard to apply sometimes...

...So try to be optimistic and you know what Shadi? I'm sure that what's bothering you at this same moment will disappear tomorrow and you'll feel much much better because you will see it from another angle.

Edit: That applies to you too Samsooma. If you need anything, the both of you, please email me. Cheer up!

I don't know if you are very religious. YOU need to put GOD first. You may call him the Creator, Allah, the Maker, Yahweh or whatever respectful name. The identification of him is not significant as long as it is not insulting.

What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the GOD of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. I wish you a most prosperous, healthy, God-endowed, Happy New Year.

You're young and immature, or you were, cause that public face u put on for others is not the real you. Being an adult is recognizing that u will always have problems/issues. Be happy in the face of your worries. That's the adult thing.

When you make peace with your self, then you will find peace in your life. It is so easy to allow others to create the mood, do not allow them to bring you down. We can't always change our surroundings but we can control how we react to our surroundings. Learn to be content with yourself. Happiness comes from outside, joy comes from inside.
