What should be done about Israel?
Ever since Israel has existed, all it has brought is terrorism, bloodshed and killing to the people of Palestine. Its very existence, fact, is illegal and not justfied. Before Israel was set up by the Americans and the British, muslims and Jews lived happily and peacefully. (Remeber it was the Jewish extremist party that were attacking British troops not muslim extremists).
I want muslims and Jews to live peacefully together. Why should Israel exist however small it is when the land is owned by muslims. Muslims are in the majority. Nobody is saying jews cant live in Palestine. Whats more shocking is Israels existence was brought about by indescrimiate killing of women and children. So who are the real terrorists? Minor groups armed with nail rockets like Hezbullah or Israel who is "owned" by the Americans.

I switch on BBC News 24, CNN, ABC....
What do I see? More media propaganda
IM SICK AND TIRED OF IT ALL.....THE LIES.......
We need to act..

One of the small Guppy fish in my fish tank just gave birth to a tiny guppy baby. I spotted her before the big mean orange fish would see her and devour her.
Now I put her in a thingy " a plastic cube that floats in water"- I don't know what it is called. She's safe and sound but she's so small I can only see her eyes. She's as small as an ant.
I am thinking about "The Blue Whale", but all suggestions are welcome.

Fallen in love with the place !! We spent 2 gloreous sun filled weeks in Iberotel Lamaya Resort in Marsa Alam. The staff were amazing and very welcoming and helpful, the hotel (5* all incl) was spotless and luxureous the food was very varied and yummy and the entire holiday was really great. If you are looking for a peaceful retreat this is the place for you (even though we had 2 kids with us!!) the pools were lovely (4 of them) and the beach was so amazing and beautiful coral. My 2 step-daughters (nearly 3 and 9) were treated like princesses. As it is very isolated (Marsa Alam is a very new resort with only a handful of hotels) you cannot spend money (great!!)

Can't wait to go back

It seems that with each and every election that South Africa sees, the ANC government garners more support and greater majorities. This cannot be based on performance and service delivery when one considers their dismal track record and gross misgovernance, we have seen abundant scandals, blatant corruption with no consequences for the offenders, rapes by government officials as well as sexual misconduct, nepotism, poor to a complete lack of service delivery, ANC fat cats enriching themselves only at the expense of the taxpayer, crime levels escalating to that of war torn nations, roads and infrastructure are crumbling and the average South African family is now amongst the most indebted in the world.
Why do our citizens continue to follow these disastrous voting patterns?
Is it allegiances to the lies, propaganda and deceit that they have been fed by an ANC government who are excellent talkers but pathetic implementers or merely the result of uneducated masses voting?

QUESTION: Recently I heard an explanation that there is no Palestine, since Palestine was just a Greek invention of a name for the Ancient Land of Israel, etc. But mostly the argument was about that Palestine can't exist b/c its just an old name for Israel. It said to look at it this way: Siam was an old name of Thailand, Persia was an old name of Iran, Burma was an old name for Myanmar. Similarly, Israel used to be called Canaan, the land of Israel ( eretz Israel in Hebrew) then Judea, then Palestine, then finally the modern day Israel. The question is: is Palestine a real country, or merely an old name for a country that was taken advantage of by the Arabs and do the modern day "Palestinians"( if we assume uncertainty) need to smell the roses and get on with their lives?

I guess I could ask an English-teaching-in-law but I don't want this to just be about helping him out. I LOVE books and want to start a charity --or at least get some ppl together to send books to Morocco. Where could I send them? I am primarily studying languages and linguistics and this is of great interest to me. I heard about a group Books for Africa a few years back but since I have a connection to Morocco I would really like to help out there. Personally, I find it hard to give up my books but I have tons of magazines and would be willing to buy books and or collect them to send them off. Can anybody help me? I have been thinking about this seriously for the last couple of weeks (while I wasn't online -- and catching up with my reading lol).

Thanks,
FEZ

An apartment on the smaller side -- not fancy -- I am talking about an apartment the average Moroccan would be happy to own as a first apartment. One/two rooms

I realize there are all types of ranges but I'm thinking of something on the smaller (cheaper lol) range as we will not be living there all year and may rent it out while we aren't there....and inshallah move on to something bigger or better eventually.

DH has asked people what they are going for now but I wanted to ask people on here too. If there are more details you need to know please ask and I'll add them tomorrow inshallah -I haven't been feeling well so I haven't been on here but I feel a little better today so inshallah I'll feel even better tomorrow. :)

Cities --any of these: Rabat, Agadir, Fes, Meknes, Tetouan, Tangier, Marrakesh....you get the picture.
Choukrane!

Dubai is building first 10 star hotel ever in the world. This hotel will only have few rooms. To build this hotel it won’t cost them too much money but to run this hotel it will cost them a lot of money. They need to employee high qualified staff from all over the world. The staff and their roles are as follows:

Have you heard of the proposed academic boycott of Israel's universities that is taking place in the UK through the University and College Union?
Do you think it is fair to condemn Israel's academics but make no mention of the genocide that is supported by the Sudanese government? Do you think it is fair to punish Israel's Universities and say nothing of the incitement to violence against Israel and Jews that takes place in Palestinian educational institutions? Do you think it is fair to sever ties with universities as a way to change a government's policies?
Please, don't be silent, tell the world you oppose the boycott!

I'm from the Philippines but been based in the NMI for some time now and hold a valid license there. I only drive in Saipan (Capital of the NMI) but I'm in Dubai for a break. Their rule says that US nationals can simply swap their driver's license for a UAE one otherwise international licenses from the home country are needed. Does that rule include US territories and protectorate? I am getting different answers.
