ganhoush....doesnt matter if its computer generated or not. the point is when people automatically see it...they see a half naked body on their screen. you are showing a half naked body to millions of yahoo who chances are will think its you.

There is an all-woman's resort in Lebanon where Muslim women go to enjoy the sea without being under scrutiny of the men. Not a bad idea - lots of American women are beginning to want the same.
On the public beaches, I have seen Muslim women swimming in their pajamas and robe, which become transparent when wet, but seems to satisfy the law.
I have noticed that American women are more modest when it gets down to it. Don't like swim apparel that gets transparent, don't go out in public or sit on their balconies in negligees, and resist breast feeding in front of anyone but their husbands for the same reasons.

Yes. Muslim women are allowed to wear bikini's on lebanese beaches, depending on how strict they follow their religion. Some people in the north of lebanon(sunni's) like tripoli are heavily religious, while the muslims of beirut, are modern and advanced. It depends what area you talk about. As for the shiites, there is no way to see them on the beach unless you have a picture of Nasrallah there, they might drop by.

Seriously, In terms of conservatism....in some cases, Lebanese women (Muslim or Christian) can be so much more "revealing" than most Europeans......(sometimes its too much)...
And surprisingly (at least to me), its the Christian women who tend to be more elegantly conservative and the Muslim women who tend to be vulgarly "half-naked"....
(please do not take offense anyone, just a general sociological observation)

Well unlike other Arabic cities and countries.Lebanon is a secular country.Especally beirut.So they are aloud but when you are in the city near the beach like walking around i wouldnt recommend it.

Well I am a forty nine year old man from LA and I would wear a bikini on the beach but I don't want to scare the children and ruin their dinner... for a week.

and I agree with what Ghannouge said (only if you took the time and read it without getting mad)...I'm Lebanese and I'm not muslim and I don't like to wear a bikini in public and I never did in my whole life...I find that not comfortable so I prefer a one-piece suite.

I am muslim and i wouldnt wear a bikini not just because my dad would have a heart attack but because i dont feel like runnin around half naked.
yet i know ALOTT of Muslim girls that do wear bikinis, it depends on the person of course.

umm...i wouldn't wear a full bikini, but i do wear a halter top-top with shorts when i go to the beach..and thats usually what i swim in beacuse the shorts are cotten.

Lebanon is a free country, where pretty much everyone decides for themselves what to wear or not.
I'm not Muslim, but I take great offense at what you are saying.
you are implying that wearing a bikini or showing a back is against morals.
well my sweet lady, you have just insulted 3/4 of the population of this planet including my daughter, my niece and all the younger females in my family.
maybe you live in a repressed society, and you don't understand the Lebanese mentality and lifestyle. so I feel sorry for you and I hope that one day you open your mind enough to learn not to condemn people who live differently.
