As long as your passport is in order you will not have any problems to enter Israel.
Just a reminder though: Please call your folks when you have arrived the hotel and let them know that you are fine. Afterwards, I would recommend that you would check in with the U.S. Embassy to find out what areas they do not recommend to the Americans to travel to and listen to them.

Only your passport is more than enough. You don't need to bring a letter from your parents because it isn't necessary but if you want to then it is a different story.

Yes you can - I travel to Israel when I was seventeen also as part of a youth tour. There are many teenagers who travel every year to Israel.

Yes im pretty sure you can, im 16, live in the U.S and I Travel alot to other countries alone, mainly because I have relatives in other countries.

sorry but no, you have to be 18 or older to swap countries, any thing less requires an adult and you also need to get a passport
