Liberia was the first independent country in Africa... it was never colonized and was decalred on the the 26th of July 1847.

South Africa comes second as it won its independence from Britain on the 31st of May 1910

Egypt comes third, independence from Britain 28th of February 1922.

Ethiopia comes fourth, independence from Italy 5th of may 1941 (although some count Ethiopia in the same category as liberia considered to have never been colonized since the Italian invasion was brief (only between 1936 to 1941).
