Anyone know of a good brand or website for really good, comfy, durable winter boots that are still cute. Like the kind of thing a hot trophy wife would trot around a ski resort in. I want to spend whatever it takes to get a hot pair of boots that I can really wear all winter.

Not cheap as in bad, but cheap as in inexpensive.
My daughter wants to do ski school this year. It is just a 6 week program up in Stevens Pass, so somewhere that i could rent skis would be good.

when I fall on ice I get big bruises and my knee was swollen for a week before I could use it properly again. what could I use for my swollen bumps and bruises? it's really nasty cause I need to skate frequently! gels like ben-gay don't work. i tried ice, but it works slow and i have to keep it on for hours!

So I'm looking at this area in Big Bear (Southern CA) and Im looking at doing a 5 foot huck to about a 35 degree slope. What minimal conditions shud this be done in? Im a confident black snowboarder, and can do double blacks, but I dont want to crash and land in 6 inches of slush. Minumum condtions?

BTW, Big Bear doesnt get a lot of snow, the snow depth is about 2 to 3 feet at its deepest.

Wanting to maybe get my dad a new broom for Christmas. I don't know anything about curling and I know they make horsehair and another type of brooms. I know he uses horsehair and if I got another ty pe would he not like it cuz he's used to horsehair? I don't want to ask him cuz it is a present. After a recent snowboarding holiday, I have found that I have a number of stains on my snowboarding trousers - they are burton shaun white asym trousers if that makes any difference. I was wandering if anyone knew if they just go in the wash as normal or do I have to do anything specific.

with a nice hot tub looking at the snow. It can be a large hotel or a boutique hotel... the important thing is that from my window I have a great view and I have a nice hot tub in my room looking the snow.
