I am going with one beginner snowboarder and I am beginner-to-intermediate myself. We are spending 1.5 days at Heavenly and the resort is huge, so I want to make sure we spend our time wisely and not get hurt ;-)

I think winter sports are the best thing that ever happend to the world, any so many people participate in them, including SnoCross, so do you think those are some of the people who should be really concerned about Global Warning? And should snowmobile companys look towards cleaner snowmobiles?

I am a novice skater and my Freeskate is "the Mission." I want somthing rather simple so that it dosen't distact anyone from the chreography. Would this be a good choice? http://shop.1asecure.com/prod.cfm?ProdID=175845&StID=3224 I was thinking of getting it in the red or the pumpkin color... but i wish i could see the dress in those colors. Do you have any better suggestions? Thanks.

p.s i am 17 years old medium build, brown hair.

I recently purchased fairly high end new ski's. Im 6'1" 235 pounds. The ski's are 170's. 3 years and 30 pounds ago I skied regularly and had no problems. However lately half way through the first run my legs buckle violently underneath me causing a lot of pain. Is it an issue with the ski's or am I just out of shape?

so i think im an intermediate rider. i take some diamond runs. ive only been boarding about five times. im about 170. 5'10". i would like an all around board leaning more towards the freestyle side. im a little low on cash so the closest to 100 bucks would be best. anything under 200 is good. (keep in mind im looking to buy the board during the end of season sales). please help me out. for style i would like a graffiti look to it..................which bring me to a new question are there brands that have a lot of gaffiti looking decks? fyi i think im set on the ride ex or delta bindings.

I have a pair of 06 burton freestyle's right now. they are a little big on me and im planning on getting some new bindings. Ive been looking at burtons line and I really dont know what i should get. im going to be doing 90% of my riding in the terrain park hitting boxes and butters, ive kinda been checking out the mission or the cartel, but im still open to suggestions. the only thing that kinda scares be about the cartel is the highback, its supposed to be the highest one in the burton line, is it too high? is the superstrap any nicer fitting than the luxstrap or is it just something to get you to spend more? what about the convertible toe strap VS the regular one? I was also checking out the Mission poncho villa version and it comes with the upgraded superstrap for your ankle and the super capstrap that is found on the P1's and C60's. the only thing is that the poncho villa model looks kinda cheap in the pictures, but it could be different when you see them. Any help is appreciated.

I have recently gotten into downhill/alpine skiing. I am wondering what equipment should you have to ski comfortably, and also, if you have any, tips for skiing and getting better at it. Any websites with any of this would be helpful as well.
Thanks for your time!

Can anyone help me I don't really know what I'm having trouble with. I either freak out and don't rotate it or toe foot the landing. Also some days I don't even get to a double lutz because it takes me forever to land my double loop even though I can land it!
I'm getting fairly frusterated :O

Hi all. I just broke one of the bindings on my board and need to get it fixed asap. Problem is they're Burton snap ins, which everyone tells me they don't make anymore. I'm trying to avoid having to buy both new bindings and boots. Anyone have any ideas where I can track some down?

Hi Guys. If I have a chance to go skiing at Lake Loiuse or FERNIE BC, which would be the preferred choice?? I am not really into the crowds in Banff..but the best skiing is the ultimate goal. I HATE groomed trails. I like lots of powder and glades and that type of thing.

Thanks in advance

I want to know if anyone has tried it and how it worked. I'm a racer, so I would like the fastest wax without paying too much/ using an iron and all that. Also, how important is it to get the right temperature wax? If it's 15*F out, and I use wax rated from 22-34*F, how will they be. It can't be that bad can it?

Hiya, ok don't laugh!! I'm new to figure skating, a total beginner and i just know im gonna be such a pain in the bum asking lots of questions, hope you don't mind helping me! Ok so, yesterday when i went for a skate just for practice in the public sessions, there were tonnes of hockey players skating around super quick etc, well i can skate around in the circle fine but i cant seem to stop quick enough, see what happened was...one of the hockey guys skated right in front of me about 50mph and i couldn't stop or skate around him in time..this resulted in me grabbing his arm, realising he was a total stranger, letting go and falling crashing to the ground (ouch!) if i could stop i could have prevented that....any tips?? ps: that snow plough thing takes me ages to stop i dont know why lol, thanks!

I am looking at these snowboard / winter mitts, made by the glove company, Watson. They have a long 'gauntlet' type cuff, with a mitt end, instead of fingers. They are a bit unusual looking.
