We may be moving to Rochester soon. My kids want to know where they can slide down hills in the snow on their sleds. Any other snowy sport info is appreciated: snow boarding, snow mobiling, skiing, ect.. Thank you!

Rochester is an excellent place to sleigh ride, snowboard, ski, snowmobile, ice fish and everything else that has to do with cold weather, ice and snow. Hiking is also very popular in this scenic region of NY. The Bristol Mountain resort is a b-e-a-u-tiful place to ski. It will take your breath away. Rochester has fun in summer months too! The Roseland waterpark is the perfect place for you and your kids to go.

I haven't been there, but generally, I find the best place for sledding is down the middle of the street. This is especially true after ice storms. Chances are that there will be less traffic out anyways on such days...
