I adore Gore. I didnt get my season pass this year, but I had one last year, which was awesome - my parents live about 45 minutes from Gore and have made it a point to ski there as often as they can. I, personally, am a level 3 skier, with a PSIA level 1 cert. My parents are both level 2 (intermediate) skiers. There is something on the mountain for everyone, from a level 1 beginner, to me, a level 3 skier.

For lodging and stuff, the Gore Mountain website has a link to some B&B's in the area: http://goremountain.com/packages/bandb.cfm
I hope that helps you out a bit!

Gore is probably the best kept ski secret in NY.

When I didn't feel like driving all the way to northern Vermont, Gore was the answer. Nice terrain, gondola, I'm not entirely sure about the blue groomers though...I spent most of my time on blacks that were not groomed. But Gore offers something for everybody, so go enjoy!

Check out the B&B's in the Johnsburg area. Ski report says that it's good and plenty of runs. I'm from upstate NY and I travelled quite a bit up there. You could also check out the outskirts of Warrensburgh on Rt. 28N, There is one on the way to Weavertown, I think it's called the Butterfly Inn. But you can get more results from these towns that I just mentioned by typing it the search engine ie, B&B's in Johnsburgh NY, and so on. Hope this helped.
