Ok so I snowboard at mountain creek in new jersey. Its my first time. Theres the bunny slope lol and then the other mountains. The other mountains are all a lot higher but the problem is this. I dont know if I am just scared and am exagerating what will happen to me, if Im afriad of heights or if im just not experianced yet. Should I go a few more times and get my stops balance and turns good? Or am I ready and I am just to scarred and I am making it worse than it already is?

My Polaris Trail snowmobile will only run if I start it on choke and then keep on switching it on and off. How would I fix this?

I'm going snowshoeing, and have never used long underwear before. How tight/loose should the tops and bottoms fit? Should they be like a "second skin", or is it okay if they're a bit looser and kind of flabby in some areas? Would the fit vary depending on the sport (i.e. if I were to ski or snowboard instead)?

Seams bother my hands...I was hoping someone figured out how to make a pair without seams at all. Im thinking along the lines of North Face, Marmot, Outdoor Research, Arcteryx,....etc.

Hello,
I need "specific" suggestions on a very warm and lightweight jacket for weather in the 20s. Please suggest brand and types. When I see the websites, I see many types of jackets/fleece out there.

Also, which websites and retailers carry these? I'm looking
to spend no more than $60.

I have a polar fleece jacket from Ross, but it's not as warm as it seems. It definitely is light though and I need something lightweight.

Thank you very much!

My one BIG thing on my christmas list is a winter jacket.
To be specific 'The North Face W Phoebe Jacket' for $199.00. My parents are NOT impressed with the price and they want me to find something cheaper. I am a sophomore in high school, I don't often ski or anything like that, but I do live in Minnesota where it snows, alot. So basically I'm looking for a stylish warm jacket, and I'm convinced the name brand 'North Face' is the way to go. Any other suggestions???

Thank you in advance!

I probably wouldn't use the machine too overly much (just as a weekend outing) I don't want the new machines that require $1000 service every year before you take them out!
Something a little older, that's DURABLE. Doesn't need to be really big or fast. I've heard that the Indy's are pretty low maintenance...and they are nice and light. What would you recommend?

This has probably done before. I don't know. But yeah if you're ever looking for something new to try, and its winter, try iceboarding (as me and my friends call it)

What need is a old skimboard, a bike, a rope, and a stupid friend. Take the rope and tie to the bar underneath the saet of the bike. Hold onto the rope and let him pull you on the icy streets. For more fun try making ramps out of snow and doing tricks.

If your board isn't sliding well try running cold water on the bottom of the board to freeze it.

Warning: This maybe potentially dangerous.

I am about to buy a coat for winter but not sure which kind to get. I would like something that is very warm. I currently have one that 100% polyester which gets quite warm but not as warm as I would like. I have seen a few which have mixes such as 70% polyester and 30 acrylic which don't appear warm. Can someone please advise me. Thanks

i just bought a new northface jacket which i think is fake. it is this one:http://image.dhgate.com/upload/200612/92/402880840e4882a0010e4f5271591111/productimg1167187555562.jpg
the only exeption is it is red and black. the summit series logo is on the right sleeve and the goretex logo is on the left sleeve. the zipper is on the left side and the inside tags are black. is it fake?

Has anyone ever been to this? I'm buying my gear and finding that sites like evogear.com and rei.com and steepandcheap.com have great deals...from 30 - 50 % off.
will ski dazzle be offering these deals on the new seasons stuff brand new? Its in 2 weeks and I dont want to miss out on the deals online because I waited for the convention to find there were no deals. for example, a pair of 07 ride bindings are $85 including shipping. orig: $149

I was looking at some winter jackets. One had 100gram Primaloft and one had 550 fill down. Is one better then the other? The prices were close.
