the only exeption is it is red and black. the summit series logo is on the right sleeve and the goretex logo is on the left sleeve. the zipper is on the left side and the inside tags are black. is it fake?

A black inside tag could be a fake. It could also mean the jacket was a defect and sold as "seconds". If the tag is "blacked out" with magic marker, then this could be a defect jacket.

I can't recall enough details about the proper placement of logos on TNF jackets from years past, but TNF did put zippers on the left on ladies jackets, but Red & Black is not a common TNF color scheme. So you probably have been had. It's probably not Gore-Tex either.

Best bet is to take it to a dealer and have them check it out. They can put you in contact with your local TNF rep and you can give them info about the allegedly fraud jacket and the details on where you made the purchase.

TNF fraud is very common. I've seen fake TNF Denali jackets going for $35. (usually $165). Sales of stolen TNF products is also common. One day a guy ran into my store and lifted 11 jackets off the rack and ran right out.
