I probably wouldn't use the machine too overly much (just as a weekend outing) I don't want the new machines that require $1000 service every year before you take them out!
Something a little older, that's DURABLE. Doesn't need to be really big or fast. I've heard that the Indy's are pretty low maintenance...and they are nice and light. What would you recommend?

My first snowmobile was a 97' indy 500. I beat the living tar out of it, never had any issues (seemed indestructible).

Deacent power, excellent reliability, and minimal maintenence.

We have an older Indy at the local ski hill. It's the sled of choice for me.

Now...I'm 6'0 and 250 lbs. I look rudiculous on the Indy, but the alternate is the big Bearcat sleds. If they get stuck or roll over it sucks to pull them out and they turn poorly.

The Indy is light and if I get stuck (I'm a BAD sled driver) I know I can get it out myself.

We also beat the snot out of out ATVs and sleds. The Indy is one of the few that I never see in the shop or broken down.
