In women's tournaments during the last round the scores are usually 6-1, 6-2 for example and I've seen very seldom girls going to tie-break while that is not uncommon for men.

Last week i was looking forward to a two hour slot i had booked on an indoor hard court. I was playing against my flat mate. we have played three times recently and i have lost all encounters. 6 - 4 then 6 - 2 then 6 -4. All the games have been tight however.

I am a reasonable standard having played for about 15 years. I have a rating of 6 -2 (UK).

i went out bought some new balls and was , so i thought, really mentally ready. I stepped out on court and started knocking up, still feeling ok, the first set i lost 6 -4 having led 4 -3 - ok. i then lost the next two sets 6 - 0 , 6 -1 . I could not hit a ball in, all my touch had gone. my ability went from 8 out of 10 to 2 out of 10 in the blink of an eye. My body felt unresponsive and my feet just werent moving . it was like someone had removed my tennis ability CHIP from my head.

My self belief was gone completely.

How can this happen? I feel like a right idiot now!

What kind of game does he play? What are his weapons? Does he have what it takes to move in the top 20? Big serve? Big forehand , does he Volley well? Move well? If you have seen him play can you tell me a bit about him? Can he hang with Rodick next round ? Thanks in advance for your input, I have not seen him play yet, just read a few articles about him. All of us iving in the United States should write Direct TV to get the tennis channel on the Sattelite, I mean Christ , if we can watch bass fishing all day how about putting the tennis channel on. It is not like the USTA can not finance that for a while until it starts turning a bit of a profit. I would love to see some of the other tourneys, that are on every week all over the world , plus watch other Davis Cup matches besides the US. On an unrelated note, the Byron Brothers are one of the best doubles teams I have seen in a long time , agree, disagree?

How many wins do you think he will end up before he looses his first match. So far, I think it's like 35. I think he will add some more in the Pacific Life Open and Nasdaq 100 tournaments before the clay season begins. I really hope he beats Nadal on clay.

If they meet again in a clay tournament, which i'm guessing is really likely, will Federer finally beat Nadal?

A one handed backhand or a two handed backhand in terms of reach, power, accuracy and easy to perform?

my opponent hits his serve with a wild spin that just barely makes it over the net...and if you're not ready you have to literally run up to the net to hit it over to get it on one bounce. However...I thought I had heard that a service from your opponent cannot bounce twice in the box they are serving to.

When she was 21 yrs old she won all the grand slam titles and the world was at her feet. Since then because of motivation and injuries she only won 2 slams before the Aus open this year.
She proved that she is still the best by practically turning up at the tournament and hammering all of her opponents. She then said she's motivated and wants to train on the clay already. Do you believe her?

Ive been playing with Wilson Tennis balls for a while and have been playing a high level of tennis. passing shots, ground strokes, inside out forehands etc etc etc. I bought some PENN tennis balls in Saturday and used these yesterday on the same court with the same racket against the same opponent - i could not control the balls at all. Everything was either going long or in the net. the balls felt dead and unresponsive. I had no rhythm and could not get into the match, we were having no rallies where last week rallies were going 10,11,12 shots.

I dont want to blame the balls but i really do think PENN balls are goddam awful. Anyone else experience this type of thing - its driving me mad!
