It was her serve, it was very weak and inconsistent, and playing aganist the william sisters, steffi graff and davenport who are pretty good returners you wont have chance at winning a singles title with a weak serve.

What is lacking? Not a whole lot she actually had a pretty good game and was very strong from the baseline. Remember she had to reckon with a lot of good players like Steffi Graf who was still very good, Martina Hingis at her prime, both the Williams sisters were young and hungry then and Lindsey Davenport just to mention a few. She won some Grand Slam doubles titles with Hingis which people tend to down play but you don't win those by accident if you are pretty good, even with Hingis as a partner. Really, she was no slouch. I remember one year she beat Graf in England at Eastborne and she was really starting to come on ranked in the top 10 then injured her wrist and never seemed to get back. I think distractions and the fact that she could make more money off the court than on contributed to her short career.

I think she was distracted by all the attention she got because she was very attractive for a tennis player. Today there are 2 very attractive players on the WTA tour. Maria Sharapova and Nicole Vaidisova. The difference between these girls and Kournikova is that they win tennis tournaments and are better players.

definitely lack of dedication, and the players who consistently beat her at the finals (she only made to few final rounds), like Martina Hingis (10 to 1), and Venus Williams.

She was a good player, not a great one. She won some doubles championships, though

Talent, that's what she's missing. She's got enough money, maybe she can buy one somewhere....same for her that dude he's with. Maybe he can buy a voice too...or learn how to sing properly. He sounds so nasal when he sings, it's like he's got something stuck up his butt-crack.
