So many factors involved. Larger head size+stiffer frame+ stiffer strings +heavier weight=more power and less control
Smaller head size+more flexible string+more flexible frame+and lighter frame= less power and more control
Usually finding the middle ground is your best bet. String also plays a huge part, the lower the gauge the more power but less spin. 16 is average, 19 gauge will spin the ball like crazy but its very fragile string and you won't have much power. May I recommend what I use, a Yonex RDX 500 midplus 98 square inch head strung with Wilson NXT Max 16g String. Just enough of control and power in my opinion, and good if your just starting cause you don't want to fool yourself into thinking you can hit hard strokes when its just the racquet doing the work for you. If you need more help go to http://www.tennis-warehouse.com. Any question you have they can probably answer on the site. Hope this helps.

This question can trigger many possible answers.
Let me start with how my first coach answered that question: it told me "Get a good racquet of a color that you like." The key element is 'good' as in a quality racquet. In other words, if you want to save money, it is better to buy a used quality racquet versus a cheap one in a supermarket. Your arm deserves that quality. A good racquet will absorbe the shocks.
All racquet manufacturers make good racquets , making the whole thing confusing.
I use a Prince raquet from their O3 series. They are VERY forgiving (off center shots) and really make the sweat spot much larger. They come in different power levels, so you need to try them on.
I would recommend that you get into a demo program (all the shops have one) so you can try several.
One more key advise: unless you are an advanced player, you cannot trust your impression of a racquet yet, so get a good quality raquet and don't be too concerned about it being the perfect one for you now. After you play a while, then you will develop your own taste and you will have improved already, likely changing what you will like by then.

If you're an adult, you should use a raquet with small head size.
Only kids and old people uses big heads.
Grip size is also important. You should choose the thickest one that you "can" hold. Not too big that it's hard for you to hold on to it. This should give you more power on the ball with less effort.

Raquet: I like Babolat(pure drive).

Depends how you like to hit, a heavier racket will give you more power and the lighter more control. That is why you want to find a good balance. The way the racket is strung will also influence your power and control. Rackets I would try are the Wilson TRIAD (the one I play with) or the Head Radical/Flex-Point.
