There is no contest. I believe you would have to go very far down the men's list before you would find a player that could not beat the top-ranked woman player. For example, the 200th ranked male could easily beat the world number one woman. It may even go down to 500th ranked. Thoughts?

I heard they train 2 to 3 hours per week. It shows cauz their tennis SU*CKS. Most of their ball are out or in the net. How could u say they are professional tennis player ? It is like me at the age of 32 & i still can not hit the toielt boul when i pee" after all these years. They deserve a McDonalds pay check at the most & i think definetly they would have been employed by McDonald if not for tennis. I could coach any girl in just 2 months to play better.
Yes. it is entertaing to watch them play, but for the grunting, screams & theatrical shows they put on ,but not for tennis.

With wimbeldon now making price money equal do you think that women should have to play the same amounts of sets as men as is the case in any other job. i have seen women wimbeldon in the same time as it takes men to win one match. No offence whatever you may say, you know that wmoens tennis doesn't have the same depth as the mens. What is you take on this?

Let's say they're made by Wilson or some big name corporation, and they're completely normal (meaning NOT Double Core tennis balls or anything specially made with nanotechnology and stuff like that). Do they last weeks? Months? Years?

Do you think they should be paid the same? Do you think females attract the same profits as men to tennis? Males playing level is notably superior so do you think females are getting their skirts shorter (compare the ones they use these days with the one used 10 years ago) to use their other attributes to get more audience?

Personally, I feel that today's women are incredible athletes, and can handle a best-3-games-out-of-5 match just as good as the men can, instead of the best-2-out-of-3 that they play now. So I say the women should be made to play as many games as the men, if they're going to get equal prize money. Fair? or not? Same goes for the French and U.S. Open...

Men and Women will receive equal prizes from this year's wimbledon to give equal status to both the sexes. But what constitues equality? Is it money? Will it boost the quality of women's tennis? If wimbledon is conducted separately for men and women, will women's tennis attract as much audience as the men's tournament would?

What do you think of the decision to pay women tennis players the same prize money as men when it is likely that they will play fewer sets?
Is this not now unfair to men?
I'm very much in favour of equality but this seems to be more money for less performance.

Roger Federer's main challenge today looks like it's Andy Roddick. So, can we really say that he's the greatest player ever?

Think he could've beaten Sampras in his prime on Grass?

Think he could've beaten Borg in his prime on Clay?

Think he could've beaten McEnroe, on any surface, when he was at his best?

Also, what happened to Lleyton Hewitt. The guy is a remarkable athlete, and should be able to challenge Federer. Why has his game declined over the past 5 years?

Wimbledon will be announcing today that men and women will receive exactly the same amount of prize money in each round. This is in line with the other Grand Slam tournaments, although the French Open only pay equal prize money for the Final. Bearing in mind that men have to play the best of five sets while women only play the best of three sets, is this fair?

I am a 12 year old tennis player who has had success in tournaments and is in the top 6 in my section. I had lost 7 finals in a row during the 10 and unders until everything clicked in the 12 and unders and I won 5 out of 7 tournaments. Then my coach changed my forehand and my serve. I am confident now in my forehand, but my serve still stinks. I hurt my shoulder from tossing the ball too far back and now I can't serve for about a month. When I did play tournaments, something always went wrong with my game and I'd lose. Could someone give me tips on how to get my "mojo" back?

i just played tennis tonight for the first time since autumn, and when i was playing, i kept getting pains in my left hand (i'm a leftie) near my pinky and ring finger. im 15 and a girl. ive been playing since i was in 6th grade (if that's important).
i don't think i've ever gotten tennis elbow; i'm guessing i'd know if i had it. no elbow pains, just my hand.
this happened last year too, is it my racquet (magnesium Head with a tiny shock absorber)? i am getting a new racquet for my birthday in a month though, hopefully a Flexpoint.

sooo, yeahh.. ?

My tennis racquet's strings are fraying in many places. If it breaks, what kind of string should I get?

Extra info:
-I use an oversize Prince AirVanquish
-I like to hit deep into the court
-I don't want to spend a whole lot of money :)

Thanks!
