I remember this guy was a great tennis player. He stayed right there, battling toe to toe with the likes of Lendl, Edberg, Becker, Stich, and Chang during his playing days. But something happened that derailed his career. Was he the one that was caught using steroids? Thanks for any info.

He plays at the Dubai open soon where Nadal is playing. Will it be someone in the top 10 or a no name that steals the spotlight. Either way, we might be waiting a while.

I'm an advanced beginner, my theory is: If I by the 85 sq. inch and keep practicing with it till I get better, when I switch to a 95 sq. inch advance type racket, it'll become really easy to hit since I practiced with one much harder to play with. no? That's what I did with golf, I started out with forged blades and it worked.

I don't understand the concept of how to do the top spin part, going from 7 o clock to 1 o clock. How can you swing upwards when serving.

I know, of course, that he retired and is raising a family but is he doing anything to earn a living? Has he totally given up tennis? I never see him on talk shows or tennis events or anywhere.

...was listening to the radio this morning (Feb 23), and was told it was not the skills or determination that got the lasses the equal bite, but - er...their 'aesthetic qualities'.
And here's me thinking the grunt 'n' groan eastern European lasses, Spaniards, as well as the Americans had put in enough effort - not 'alf - to wake up the dusty and rusty officials in SW19.
Nope...it seems the way they roll their derriers and shine their thighs (as well as making certain noises) still has the old dears scratching their midriffs...and they're being paid for it this time. Are there women out there who have seen the new award the same way?

As we all know the final which saw Williams abosolutely smash the living daylights out of Maria Sharapova was a complete dud. I personally think the quarter final match between Williams and world number 17, Israel's Shahar Peer, was the match of the whole slam on the ladies side, what do you think????
