Federer is the most dominant player of his era in history. So the question is naturally is he really that awesome or is the competion simply not where it once was? I mean the greats had great players to make them great. But Federer doesn't have a rival other than Nadal on clay.

Is tennis a good, vigourous sport? I am trying to lose weight and I don't want to play with rules, more with a friend just for fun. I've never tried tennis, and lately i've been thinking about it. I just want to know if tennis is a vigourous workout.

My friend and I are taking tennis classes together starting Monday and I STINK big time at tennis! It's fun to play but not as much if you're not particularly good. Any of you got good tennis tips?

compare to other famous individual sports which is golf. the prize money of the mens tennis is cry out unfair. PGA golf tournament gives an average of 1 million dollar for its winner while some ATP tournament is only giving 60,000 dollars for its winner.
while thewomans tennis is three notches higher compares to womans golf.
do you thinks mens ' tennis is underrated or mens' golf is overrated?

His forehand? His backhand? His serve? His net play? His ability to pass at the net? His consistency? His topspin lob? His mobility and court coverage? His footwork? His preparation for matches? His speed and endurance? I mean, maybe he is not the best in any single area, but a really close second to a small handful of other greats in particular facets of the game, yet when you add it all up perhaps he is the greatest. But what is the single greatest part of his game?

we all know that he is concentrating on staying as no. 1. he endorse a lot of things but we really don't see him often on tv. he's not creating much buzz. is his personality not attracting any companies? i thought he would be in the forbes 100 list because he's a really good player and winning lots of tournaments... i would really like to see him on that list. maybe along with his new friend, tiger.

Alright, well, I'm a tennis player. Freshman in high school. Last week, I played mixed doubles at a tournament. I was at the net, and as I went in for a volley, the ball nicked my racquet and hit me right in the face. Now I find that I'm more afraid to play the net. I love playing net, and I'm good at it. I was fierce, aggressive, I got every shot. But now I back up more, not right at the net but more at the service box line. I want to get my orginial net aggression. How can I overcome my fear?

ok, so I'm homeschooled but just this week i started taking tennis at the local high school. Wednesdays and thursdays practice were cancelled because of snow. There is still left over snow today but they had school, I called and asked if there was practice and the coach told me they were just meeting in a room inside of the school but we werent going to play. I normally wear sweats to practice because it is so cold out, but since were not actually playing what should i wear? Would jeans and a sweatshirt b ok, or should i stick with sweats to b on the safe side?
