Yes do try. If you fail, try, try again!! Don't ever give up!

One of my friends who represented the school in tennis was overweight but she was still a good player. She was fit. Just because you're a little heavy doesn't mean you won't make a good player.

All the best!! =)

Hi Weight is not a problem as long as you try your best to reach that particular goal you want. Many people who is overweight is playing tennis and i think Tennis can make you lose some more weight " IF ONLY YOU BECOME SERIOUS" some people who want to lose some weight but not doing anything i mean i've seen a lot in my school who is very lazy during tennis Drills.

From my experience i start tennis when i was in Grade 4 I was overweight and i did everything and when i become grade 6 i become a varsity and now i'm a sophomore in high school i'm still a varsity and i lose a lot of weight you got to be focus

Your weight should have no affect on whether you can try out for the tennis team - or any team. Weight sometimes restricts people and how they can play a sport, but I've been overweight most of my life and have never had trouble playing sports - especially ones that don't require constant running (lol). Tennis is fun to play, and you should definately try out for it. Losing weight is a good plan, but try out for every sport you want to. Maybe you won't make it, but if you practice, you might, so just go for it!

Of course you can still play when you're overweight. Serena Williams isn't exactly a ballerina, and yet is an amazing tennis player. That said, tennis is a sport that requires a lot of agility. You're constantly running back and forth, and putting a lot of pressure on your joints (ankles, knees, etc.). You should play the sport because it's fun, and is a great workout, but you should try to lose a little bit of weight. That way it isn't quite as tough on your body.

Absolutely you should. Tennis is a great game---practicing for that long will definitely cause you to lose calories rapidly. Try to get in a thorough workout when you play. Practicing running the court as well as your ground strokes. Often beginners make the mistake of just standing motionless in the middle of the court hitting ball after ball, but movement is vital in tennis. Good luck!

In the early 90s, Richard Krajicek (1996 Wimbledon Champion) once commented that the women's tour is full of fat players. Some of these "fat" players are good though. Lindsay Davenport, Jennifer Capriati, Sandrine Testud, Conchita Martinez were in this category then. So there's really nothing wrong with being overweight.

I definitely think you could. highschools have different positions that you can play--so if you aren't the best there isn't any pressure! Also, tennis is a good sport to help lose weight!

Yes. You can be practicing and will probably bring down some weight while getting in shape for the tryouts.

i'm attempting to be certain what precisely you're asking. considering whilst did rock and roll have a particular required physique kind? Or character kind? you are the way you're, and the obese and skinny mommas boys which you're insulting are the way they are. All properly-familiar rock musicians are diverse, fat or skinny, emotionally no longer difficulty-free or fragile, and that's what meditated by their song. Rock song does not inevitably have one particular definition, and that's precisely what you're making it out to be, a linear kind that basically particular human beings would desire to be in touch in. I guess all those fat, insecure, mommas boys are asking the comparable question approximately you, the outgoing dipshit who thinks he's familiar with what's suitable and incorrect. You sir, are greater of a poser then they are.
