1) Is jump shot allow?
2) If not what if the cue ball jumps after it contact with an object ball, is that a foul?
3) Is it a foul if the cue ball jumps on the rail and roll back on to the table.
4) How do you account for an accidental drop of a chalk on the table and touches a color ball?
5) It is legal to hit the cue ball with other parts of the cue. (e.g : the back of the cue)

I've noticed that in some other countries, instead of having numbered stripes and solids on bar tables, they use 7 red balls and 7 yellow balls in addition to the 8-ball (black ball). My question is this. Doesn't it ever get confusing which ball is being called if there is a tight cluster of reds or yellows? What if a whole lot is happening all at once very quickly and you can't tell which red or yellow was pocketed? By having numbered stripes and solids, this isn't a problem. You can just look in the ball return or the pocket, depending on the type of table.

I'm talking about the game played on a snooker table with pool balls and a deck of poker cards. I'm sure most Singaporeans have either seen or played this game before.

Having playing it for years, i've recently started to wonder where did this game originated.

Finaly made my decision to purchase a viking. Since viking gives the options of customizing their cues, does anyopne have a recommendation on what type of joint i should get? I dont wanna make a huge mistake a buy a crappy joint that i hate playing with. I was thinkin about gettin a joint that hits medium-soft. anyone have opinions or reccomendations on what type of joint to purchase? metallic, wood? what type of join makes the cue feel more like a one piece cue, which is ideal. thanks

Is it similar to the term 'shark'?

Thanks.

I was browsing at shafts for my new cue and i noticed shafts differ in color. For example the meucci black dot shaft has a brownish color, but other standard shafts are more pale or white looking. why is this?
