I've noticed that in some other countries, instead of having numbered stripes and solids on bar tables, they use 7 red balls and 7 yellow balls in addition to the 8-ball (black ball). My question is this. Doesn't it ever get confusing which ball is being called if there is a tight cluster of reds or yellows? What if a whole lot is happening all at once very quickly and you can't tell which red or yellow was pocketed? By having numbered stripes and solids, this isn't a problem. You can just look in the ball return or the pocket, depending on the type of table.

I dont think players actually call a specific ball or pocket in these games. Just as long as a correct legal shot is excecuted. As long as you pocket one of your balls, As long as one of your balls hits a specific amount of rails etc.

Rules are slightly different, players here don't need to pot balls in sequence so there wouldn't be a question of orders. The rest of the game play are generally the same.
