For example I am ten points behind with just the black left. my opponent goes in-off reducing the gap to 3. Does the frame now finish without giving me a chance to overtake him?

If so then this would explain why professional players dont bother potting it if there is more than seven points between the scores?

When we moved to this house we didn't know where it would go, so it was stored in our garage. My husband recently brought it in, set up the frame and legs but top is not on. We need someone to bring in the slate and re-felt it. Local billiards stores only will set up a table that was purchased from them. The slate is in one piece. If I can get helpers to bring in the slate, how then do I proceed to re-felt it and finish it? I live in Brunswick, Georgia. Any pool table installers in the area?

The artist was featured during the UK Championship 2006 on the BBC, at least I think it was the UK Championship. The image I am particularly interested in is the surreal snooker table which shows the balls are apparently melting and the snooker cue is positioned in the rest but drooping over it as though it has melted. Some information on the artist would be great or any links to info on the net would be ideal.
Thanks in advance! Liam

ex. If no balls have been pocketed, and I strike the one ball with the cue ball and the cue ball travels on and pockets the 5 ball, is the ball spotted or does it count?

I've been hearing a lot lately about heated carom tables. I'm a pool player at heart and I'm somewhat familiar with carom games. However, I'm not exactly sure what the objective is of having heated tables. Is room temperature not good enough for carom tables? I understand that in pool, temperature and humidity can affect the way a table plays. Is it simply a question of consistency? Furthermore, how exactly are the tables heated?
