I'd like to believe that this isn't just another Yahoo Pool question, but I get that nagging feeling that it is. I wish these would go under computer games or something more appropriate. If on the off chance that this is a question about the actual game, then designating a pocket is simply a matter of calling it out and possibly pointing if there's any confusion. Cant say that I know what you are asking? If you are asking how to pick a pocket you can just point at the pocket you are intending to shoot it in. I also recommend saying side or corner if you are playing a game for money. I got in a game once and pointed to the corner on the eight. I then banked the 8 ball into the corner pocket. My opponent said I called the side pocket because when I pointed my stick towards the corner he said the tip was directly above the side pocket and he claims that he didn't here me say "corner". This game was for a lil cash and he said I lost because I called wrong pocket. I know what I called so I sure wasn't paying him either.

If you are talking about Yahoo! pool, just click on the pocket before you shoot.
