I know there is different modles but I went to a Big 5 and they had a standard 870 for 250. I went to a gun store and they had a used one for 300 and when I asked him why this used gun is more then the new one at big 5 he said it's because its an Express Magnum. What does that mean? Whats so special about the 3 inch magnum shells? And is the gun worth it? It looked in good condition.

It's not like it's going to change anyones opinion or ideas. And also, it's not like hunters go in the Vegan Forum and say: Eat Meat, DO IT.

I would like to buy a gun, never bought one before, I have two pistols, a 44 magnum and a 9mm (my dad gave be those). But now I can't decide between a 12 guage shotgun, I was thinking of the Remington 870 Express Magnum which I found in a gun store, used but looked in good condition for $300.00 (Is that a good price for one of those?) I would like to use this gun for hunting, bird, turkey, maybe even deer. Whats your guys thoughts on the 870? Is there any other 12 guage shotguns or rifles out there that are worth taking a look at?

Hello,
I was wondering what some of you guys/gals would recommend as a recreational/range gun for a beginner shooter. I have fired a gun before, but I would like to purchase my own that I could take to a shooting range and become comfortable with and develop competent marksmanship. I am not interested in personal protection, so I don't need anything huge like a .40. What brands/caliber guns would you recommend as a first gun? I am looking at the $200-$350 range.

I asked the guy at the local gun store and he recommended at Waltham p22 priced at $329. What do you guys say?

Thanks for your help,
Lewkarg

I have 400 and was thinking of ether buying a 12 guage shotgun or a rifle, can't decide yet. Does anyone know of any kick *** rifles or 12 guage shotguns in my price rang? More powerful the better, you know what I mean. Well thanks, and cant wait to hear from you.

I went to a gun store and they had a Remington 870 Express Magnum and it looked nice, pretty much like new, it had a strap on it so you dont have to carry it the whole time if you have a nice little walk to do and it had one of those rubber things at the end of the gun to asorb the kick of the gun. Well what do you guys think? Is it worth it?

This gun is from a series called "Gantz". I want to make or buy a prop of it. What currently existing gun/toy looks most like this?

My first revolver was a Ruger my Daddy gave me and I've been loyal three times......but today at the range this nice man let me try his Sig and wow was it so sexy. Have you seen the two-tone?

I was kinda afraid of getting the .40 cal but it was not much more than the 9. guess I should have tried it before I got the Ruger.

The Sig actually feels better in my small hands.

WHY IS IT THAT WHEN I READ QUESTIONS ON HERE I AM SHOCKED BY THE IGNORANCE SOME PEOPLE HAVE. FOXHUNTING IS NOT A BARBARIC 'SPORT', IT IS A MEANS TO AN END. IT IS A FACT THAT FOXES HAVE TO BE CULLED, AND IT IS FACT THAT THE MOST HUMANE WAY TO DO SO IS BY HUNTING WITH HOUNDS. SHOOTING THE FOX WILL ONLY INJURE THE ANIMAL AND LEAVE IT TO BLEED FOR WEEKS ON END FINALLY TO DIE OF INFECTION OR BLOOD LOSS. WHEN A HOUND GETS THAT FOX IT IS DEAD INSTANTANIOUSLY. THE REASON THIS BAN HAS BEEN PUT INTO EFFECT IS BECAUSE OF THE PREJUDICE PEOPLE HAVE FOR WHO IS DOING IT. I DONT MIND PEOPLE NOT AGREEING WITH THE 'SPORT' AS LONG AS IT IS FOR THE RIGHT REASONS. PLEASE READ UP ON IT FIRST BEFORE MAKING RASH BELIEFS. AM I WRONG?
