is it wise to eat anything while waiting for deer in the field? does it give your postion away or put a strong scent on you?

if you are doing your best not to be seen, heard or smelled you should leave your lunch in the truck. you don't want to miss an oportunity at a nice buck because it heard you with a candy bar wrapper.

Bambi and his family. They have a very strong sense of smell. Thus the reason you spray Doe in Heat Spray to make the males come running. If it gives you gas not only can they smell it but they can hear it..dont eat.

Any kind of movement or smell that the animal perceives as foreign will usually result in them vacating the area. Eat before you go out, move as little as humanly possible and if you have to drink something, make it water

I'm not a hunter, but I'd think that if you ate things that smelled like the surroundings, you should be fine. I'm thinking wheat bread or some raw vegtables.
