You are probably holding your bow with your elbow pointing straight to the ground and the crease on top pointing towards the sky. Rotate your elbow so that it is pointing side ways or parralel to the ground. The balance point on your bow holding hand will probably rotate on the bow slightly when you do this.

The guy that said your elbow is facing down is probably correct. This is a combination of bad form and possibly strength. Try backing your bow off on the poundage until your form improves. Also have an experienced person watch you as you shoot. They can spot bad form and help you correct it. My wife killed a bull moose with a 45 lb draw weight so remember it's not about the pounds its about the practice.

I would reccommend trying to strengthen your bow arm to a point where you could hold it at a slight curve instead of straight,or worse , with your arm bowed inward. I used to hit the inside of my arm frequently while learning and I think with additional strength it just went away

I don't remember what they call it,, but there is a a piece of leather that you strap to the inside of your forearm that is designed specifically to protect your arm. Check with your local sporting goods store. Or go on line and check out Cabala's, one of the best outdoor sporting goods purveyors in the country.

You have received good advice so far but one other thing will help. Open your stance just a little. If you shoot right handed move your right foot forward 1/2 step. Left handed shooter move the left foot.
