I went to a gun store and they had a Remington 870 Express Magnum and it looked nice, pretty much like new, it had a strap on it so you dont have to carry it the whole time if you have a nice little walk to do and it had one of those rubber things at the end of the gun to asorb the kick of the gun. Well what do you guys think? Is it worth it?

I bought one recently at a gun store for about $175, but the metal was rubbed and the wood stocks were rough. Mechanicaly it was fine, though and I used it to make a home defense shotgun by ordering an 18" barrel and changing out the stocks, etc. If its in good shape, $300 probably is pretty good. Hard to go wrong with an 870, either way, though.

I would do two things...Check your local Wal-Mart, they usually have the lowest prices...To get an idea price and condition wise take a look at the auction site "gunbroker.com" they had 74 up for sale.

That's right in the ballpark. Anywhere from $250.00 to $400.00
I would price a new one and see how far off it is.
