From my research on various Bond sites is that the .32 ACP version of the PPK is the Side arm of 007. First used in Dr. No to replace his Berretta .25ACP.

The Bond gun was in 7.65 caliber (32auto).

Note that in the Bond books, he does not use a Walther PPK but a Berretta .25.

He was actually using a PPKS. This is a .380 cal walther with a PP frame and a K slide.
