This is coming from a 1911 .45 shoot. I carry a full size, but have been looking into a Commander model as well. I am open to any and all suggestions. Even foreign pistols.

I am will be buying a gun in the next week or so. I have several thoughts on which is a better gun, but want to hear others opinions. Now, I am not looking for the biased "I only hunt with 30-06's because they rule" answer. I am hoping someone has shot/hunted with both and can give me an objective answer.

While racking my brain on something to get my husband, i decided to think like him.. He works WAY too much & never has time to hunt (& i have always wanted to go with him). He happened to have his b-day off so i thought why not go hunting with him because i know that's what he'd love to do. I'd also like to make him up a basket of goodies but i dont know anything about hunting (deer). Can you give me some ideas of what he'd like (hunting related) in his basket.. Any ideas would be very appreciated! & if you have any other ideas that would be good to surprise him with would be great too! Thanks!!

How can I get my boyfriend to understand that I want to make some of my own decisions when hunting? He wants us to hunt together but he won't let me learn by making my own mistakes. He sits up a lot taller than I do so his hunting spots are usually good for him to see and I can't see a thing. Also, I've seen places where the deer tracks are thick and he won't let me go there and won't give me an answer as to why either. I enjoy deer hunting and want to go but he takes a lot of the enjoyment out of it for me. What to do?

I'm considering doing a charity abseil but I've always wondered how it is that you don't just fall straight to the gound when abseiling? I know to a certain extent you control the speed at which you go down but is the speed of descent primarily managed by someone at the top?

A gun battle will last less then 7 minutes within 8ft. to 20ft. With that in mind both the glock and sig have DA and I prefer 40 CAL then the 357 MAG
Glock is light but rests bottom heavy when loaded. They wear the name and they kept their models pretty compact and basic.
Sig is top heavy when emty. Trusted by my father and known in law enforcment for the reliability. Good looking gun but bulky when packing it.
I wanna hear a good descussion in what is best for defence.
