Try getting him some unscented soap, deodorant, doe urine, any of these items can be found in the hunting section of any sporting goods store. Hand warmers are also a good gift. You can also go to cabelas.com to find items. A subscriptions to a hunting magazine. The possibilities are endless. Go to a hunting store first.

I just put myself in your husbands shoes for a second.......what would I like for a b-day present form my wife?....I dont know about your husband, or what he already has so I'll look at it from my perspective:.....I would be thrilled if my wife would join me on a guided hunting trip somewhere in Canada...its some of the best hunting in north america....there are alot of great outfitters up there and the success rate is awesome......What better than going on a dream hunt with my wife is what Im thinking...this might be alot more than u were thinking but i noticed other people had already thought of the basics!...But this may work for a future gift..:-)
Good Luck and Best Wishes~

Gift certificates are ok but guys really suck it in when they get lilt gifts. The deodorant\soap\doe scent would be good. They have buck calls - a little tube that sounds like a donkey fart when you blow in it. One of those little knife sharpeners - my bf raved for months about the one I gave him and I only paid a couple bucks in a hardware store. The GPS idea is good if a little pricey - guys love toys like that. Or a rangefinder. Go to a local sporting goods store (or even the sporting section in a walmart) and look at the doodads in the hunting section and you will find all type of things. Oh, and jerky. Everyone needs to take along jerky when they go hunting.

If there's a Cabela's near you, you can be sure that he'd like a gift card for that store... http://www.cabelas.com/ but even though you don't really sound like a gift card kinda gal, you might want to put together a few small things, like a hat or vest and include a gift card to his favorite outdoor store, because there's no way you'd know his preferred items. He'll LOVE your basket idea though! Good luck and I hope those helps!

I can see why you're happily married. What a thoughtful wife you are.
Sorry, but I know next to nothing about hunting, so I can't help there. Maybe see what he has already and talk to a hunting store for more ideas.
Best wishes !!

Get him a camo fanny pack and fill it with things he likes such as a nice hunting knife,a cool flashlight, and other things he might use .Always remember cheap is not good when buying hunting gear (spend a little more if you can and these things will last a lifetime.)

My guess is that if he likes hunting he likes sports too. With the new merchandising strategies you could buy him apparel of his favorite team in either Camo or Hunter Orange.

A gift certificate to Cabelas....depending on where you live, he could shop at a store, or Cabelas online. Can't go wrong with that.

GPS: These are cool. He can mark his favorite hunting locations and find them again with no trouble.
