This girl in my karate class likes sparring with me. She always kicks me in the groin alot. I alwyas wear a cup and jockstrap and she knows i do. I think she said it turns her on sexually. But i dont like getting kick there even with a cup. She said if i told anyone she would come in the changing room grab and rip my cup out of my jock and punch me in the groin. What should i do?

I don't want to do a weights-based workout necessarily.
Just want to know what exercises I should do to complement my classes and make me a better jiu jitsu practitioner.

I am currently studying two different arts and since then I have noticed that for the different disciplines the uniforms are different. Especially Karate vs. Kung fu. Jujutsu is like Karate but has more padding and thicker

Kung Fu (maybe not Southern Mantis) , Wing Chun, Karate, etc all lose their stance and adopt a "Kick Boxers stance" whenever they fight. Whats the point of doing a punch from a horseback stance then? It builds muscle yeah but your never gonna use it to punch like that. So does anyone here who doesn't do a kickboxing based art (KB, Muay Thai, etc) actually keep their stance during sparring.

Sure your not gonna see an eagle claw practitioner actually get down on one leg and lift his arms up forming an eagle wing in a sparring match...

I am interested in learning a bit of self-defense, as well as getting exercise. I am healthy, except for the occasional backache or sore knee. What would be a good art to study if I want to avoid heavy duty kicking ?

I heard stressing them and then letting heal and grow is an option. I beat the crap out the bag till my knuckles are bruised real bad..then let them heal..(few days to a full week). Then repeat process. Is this a healthy way to build bone density in the knuckles? I know Muay Thai fighters beat their shins to condition them..so I wonder if it works for the fists. I box alot and I want to pack a killer punch. I want thicker and heavier bones. I know drinking milk helps build strong bones. But what could I do activity wise to make them stronger and heavier? Knuckle push ups?..I already do those. What else does anyone have in mind?

I know about the bucking sand in a bucket method...is that really efficient?

Don't suggest weights for a killer punch.
I did that for about a year until I decided to give it up due to lost of speed. I strickly train on the bag. I'm all about speed, I already have enough power, I don't need to be all buff or have alot of muscle mass.

Thanks

From my basic summary of what little I know of JKD. Its basically this, "Absorb what is useful, discard what is not useful, and add what is essentially yours." To master one art, and then branch out to discover a punching, kicking, trapping, and grappling art. Thus learning all ranges of combat. And since this is your own art, and not a nations. There can be no best or worst art, the best art is you.

1.What else do I need to know, that a class would teach me? I learned all that after a couple minutes off of a simple article.

2.Wouldn't a JKD class also be a waste since you need to discover your ownself and the style, so although going to a pure style teacher would be needed to pick up arts, a Jeet Kun Do teacher would technically be impossible.

I seem to have this problem, whenever a fist is coming my way in boxing/kickboxing, i flinch. I'm like really scared to get hit in the head or something. I almost close my eyes and look away. How do I stop this??

I posted a question and I told my mother about this and she said it is haram (not the martial arts, a girl problem) and I told her why and she said that it makes your..(girl thing) wider. I'm kinda shy to ask this and a muslim man can reply if he wants I guess or a non muslim can reply. I'm ganna start Martial Arts (karate then ill go to kung fu) anyways..This is a question about periods. I'm used to wearing a pad and know I have to use a tampon but it is haram for a muslim women to do that cause it wides your girl thing. I can't wear a pad and doing sports cause it will spill out and I'm wearing a white outfit! I wish I never had my period or boobs. I just want to have fun and I have a dream to fulfill for my brother and if someone tells me just to give up then here is an answer for you...NO!.. Can someone tell me another way to do sports without a tampon?
Or some tips? Please help!
