Yep, it's true. Look it up. The host country has made it to the semi-final of every single Euro Cup. Actually, Belgium did not make it to the semis in 2000, but Holland did. (They were co-hosts.) Therefore, I predict Switzerland to make it to the Euro 2008 semi-final.

I am a Filipino but i am NOT in favor of France to win the semi finals vs Portugal they don't deserve it! It's my first time this year to watch a soccer game & as soon as i begin watching it, i become addicted to the game. Every match & game i must be there to see & watch it! I am so thrilled and excited in every game. I know every players made their very best for their country. But there is one country that haven't made it yet to the finals and even haven't win glorious victory for their country in terms of the game soccer & that is Portugal. I know deep in my heart that PORTUGAL played a very good fair game. I feel so sad for Portugal. I hate referees that are racist & unfair. Why are there people like that? You could really see who they go for & who their bet is, u could really tell! It says there before starting the game..NO TO RACISM..but the racism starts from the referees..how is that??? I hope FIFA will hire fair, just & even referees. God bless & HOORAY 2 all the players!!!

Obviously there have been a few notable exceptions, where the ref has lost control of the game or tossed yellow / red cards willy-nilly...but for the QF and SF, I think the calls have improved. At least we've seen less players booted off the field. And they seem to be letting the match play as it should. I've seen more undisturbed momentum and they seem wise to the "dive and clutch and cry" ploy. Is there a way we can send a message to FIFA for these specific refs to show some positive feedback? Do ya'all agree?

I am a Portugal fan (no need to abuse me on that one, I'm taking the loss with some dignity), but want to get into the final match. I already know Italy's team fairly well (strategy, strengths and weaknesses). the portugal player tried to trip the france player but the player didn't fall but the portugal player slipped and fall and then the france player steeped (he didn't trip but steeped on ) and wabbled his leg and fall so whose fault was it for more info see the video and you will see what i am talking about and who thought that the refree was unfair and p.s who thought that the portugal's should have been given a penalty when one of the france guy tripped some portugal player and cristano Rolando ?
