the portugal player tried to trip the france player but the player didn't fall but the portugal player slipped and fall and then the france player steeped (he didn't trip but steeped on ) and wabbled his leg and fall so whose fault was it for more info see the video and you will see what i am talking about and who thought that the refree was unfair and p.s who thought that the portugal's should have been given a penalty when one of the france guy tripped some portugal player and cristano Rolando ?

I do, I was chearing to Portugal they deserved to win, since last world cup them and Spain should've go to finals, I thought the referee was unfair, he should have given the penalty to portugal the same way as he did with france minutes before...but...NOOO he didn't I hope He burns in hell!!.. Sorry is too emotional for me...LOL

No, it was not a penalty and I don't care if the Portuguese player said that he was trying to foul him. I've watched that replay over and over along with friends who are coaches and referees of the game and they all agree. As for France having played a better game - Well, No, they didn't. They played well but the stats themselves show the difference. Even the French players comments on the FIFA website point out that they didn't feel they played well today.

I know...it's my first time this year to watch soccer and i don't have any country bets. As long as i know they played good i go for them.. But i feel so sad for Portugal that they didn't made it to the Finals because of that referee. It was a stupid penalty kick given to them by the racist referee. It says before starting the game..SAY NO TO RACISM...but the racism starts with the referee..how is that??? I know Portugal played so good and they deserve the cup..and they haven't got the chance to win in the soccer. So why not give other country a chance..Right!!!!!

I'm fan of Portugal but France was a lot better, Portugal didn't do any thing at all!!!! Pauleta touched the ball only twice, to much complication from C.Ronaldo and poor play from Figo!!!! I hope that Portugal can beat Germany and be third best team in the world!!!!!!

I think that it was clear the the Portugal player was totally NOT trying to trip him because he was trying really hard to keep his leg down when he was falling. I think it was a horrible call!
I also think that the ref committed a really HORRIBLE injustice to the Portugal team when the French player pushed Ronaldo in the box and never called the foul.
just my opinion though.

Come on. That was a foul. Didn't you hear the Portuguese interview after the match? The guy didn't know I understand a little bit of Portuguese because he thought he was in front of a German tv crew. He said, "Yeah, I was trying to trip him so he could step on me so the referee could see him step on me and give him an automatic red card. It didn't work, though; I think the referee was trying to do revenge on me for trying to fool him so he gave the penalty to the French guy. But...you have to give credit to France. They beat us...they are the better team today...they must have eaten their French fries to get energy for this game. And I have to go now because my chickens are loose in my living room and I have to change my goat's diapers. My wife just sent me a letter telling me about that. I also like to play guitar in front of Hitler."
I'm not too sure about the last three sentences because my Portuguese is a little rusty. But I showed the video to a friend of mine who speaks Brazilian Portuguese and she said it wasn't chickens; it was all goats.

I hate soccer because of the fact that the referee literally decided that game. The fact that so few goals are scored makes penalty kicks unfair, especially if it is questionable. But the sport will never change.

The officials are corrupt and payed off. That was NO PENALITY!
I hope Italy beats them but they got this far by a suspect penality call too ( Austrialia ) so I really don't cares who wins .. But I favor Italy cuz unlike France, the Italians like America.
