I am a Filipino but i am NOT in favor of France to win the semi finals vs Portugal they don't deserve it! It's my first time this year to watch a soccer game & as soon as i begin watching it, i become addicted to the game. Every match & game i must be there to see & watch it! I am so thrilled and excited in every game. I know every players made their very best for their country. But there is one country that haven't made it yet to the finals and even haven't win glorious victory for their country in terms of the game soccer & that is Portugal. I know deep in my heart that PORTUGAL played a very good fair game. I feel so sad for Portugal. I hate referees that are racist & unfair. Why are there people like that? You could really see who they go for & who their bet is, u could really tell! It says there before starting the game..NO TO RACISM..but the racism starts from the referees..how is that??? I hope FIFA will hire fair, just & even referees. God bless & HOORAY 2 all the players!!!

I'm sorry, but that referee was not being racist. Just because the team you wanted to win didn't, you can't start calling everyone racist. he gave both sides yellow cards. Both France and Portugal played fair games. In my opinion, I believe that France should win. But all because of Zidane. he has been on of the best players this world cup, he's been playing like he's 20. he deserves to hold the cup one more time. Portugal has a chance to get 3rd place, and I hope they get it.

henry "dived" because he is a pro with experience. He totally saw the chance to make an easy penelty and he took it!(really, it was a no brainer type of penelty for the ref to call!!!) Pros know what it takes to win. Portugal will learn from this. (It does not matter how you win a game, but the scoreline in the end of the match.)
Italy will play with passion on Sunday, then Team Italia- Fifa world cup champions 2006!!!!!!

How was the referee racist? It seems like you're trying to pin the blame of your team's loss on the referee. If you look at the replays on Fifa's official World Cup 2006 website, it is clear that Henry was tripped. You can't simply pass off every call as biased, racist, etc. Please look at the evidence before labeling someone you dont know or have any connection to as racist.

Im so glad hearing that from a non-portuguese who roots for portugal hehe.
I think the ref wasnt really fair but I also think that France played a really good game as well as Portugal.
I love portugal too, they did deserve to win:)
Anyway, maybe the next 4 years..who knoes...:P

ppl stop with the racism thing for the record all the black players were in the french team. I think that penalty kick was bull but all in all france deserved to win.

They definitely don't deserve! Portugal did a better job. they are now popular is because they bet "the one and only brazil" with their little good luck of the free kick. they bet portugal with a penalty. cone on? they didn't really goal!! they are good, i mean their french fries are good but their football bores me to death!

Racism from referees? never saw that. I admit the refs could be useless sometimes but have never seen racism. I admire your passion for the game though.

no, they didnt deserve it. the players on that team are SUCH actors sometimes it aint even funny. they only won because of that penalty shot. also whenever portugal tried to get close to their net the french literally SWARMED them. but portugal didnt swarm the french when they came close as much as the french did to portugal.

They do deserve to advance to final ... they've played well, especially Zidane. They deserve to win the World Cup too, but I'm not necessarily saying that they will.
ITALY will win.
