Obviously there have been a few notable exceptions, where the ref has lost control of the game or tossed yellow / red cards willy-nilly...but for the QF and SF, I think the calls have improved. At least we've seen less players booted off the field. And they seem to be letting the match play as it should. I've seen more undisturbed momentum and they seem wise to the "dive and clutch and cry" ploy. Is there a way we can send a message to FIFA for these specific refs to show some positive feedback? Do ya'all agree?

this is obvious, only the best refs were kept after the group stage, just as the best teams advanced, the same is true for the refs, all refs were graded and assessed over their first set of games and only the best remained.

I completely agree with you: the referees have been less diabolical during the latest matches in Germany. It annoys me to no end when die-hard fans claim that the ref was biased, paid-off, racist, etc. I'm glad that there are people who actually see the game that is being played. Hopefully the next two games will be as incident-free as the last 4.

Yeah, I thought they got better at the later stage.
Maybe because the lousy ones have got sent home early.
Hopefully FIFA will be stricter in choosing the refs for next WC
