My gut feeling is they will be :
Watford, Sheffield Utd, Charlton Athletic (they will miss Curbishley badly)

its been confirmed Michael Owen has ruptured his cruciate ligament...should we be worried or have we got the players to cope?
Do we give Theo Walcott his big chance on the world stage or do we swap and change things around and let Gerrard or J.Cole take the role on.

Also lets wish Michael Owen a speedy recovery from a horrible injury.

The USA tied Italy 1-1, so what do they need to do now to be sure they move past this group of play? What are all of the different ways they can move on? Do they HAVE to beat Ghana?

They seem to be in favour of the traditional footaballing nations.

I kept hearing that "Brazil have lost their touch" and "Out of form" and stuff like that.

Are the commentators praying for Brazil's downfall or something?

Observing the close possibility that any of the teams in group E can still qualify even though only one match is remaining - it makes it difficult to rule either team out. Especially with the upset that Ghana caused when they beat the Czechs two goals to nil, who are placed in second position in the FIFA rankings. So some more upsets can be expected in the remaining matches, which can easily go in either side.

The following combination can happen in this group:

1. CZE and USA qualify. This can happen only if CZE beat ITA and USA beats GHA.

2.ITA and GHA qualify.
This is possible if Italy wins against CZE and GHA wins against USA. Or if ITA beats CZE and USA and GHA draw.

3. ITA and CZE qualify. In both games there's a draw. Or CZE beats ITA & USA and GHA draw.

4. CZE and GHA qualify. This happens if Chzechs win against Italy and GHA wins against USA.

5. ITA and USA qualify. This happens only if ITA and CZE draw, and USA wins against GHA.

So what do you think???

Theo Walcott is an unknown entity. Why take him when he has no intention of playing him. Last night would have been the perfect opportunity to blood the youngster. Ahead of the final selection for the squad, media reports were saying how sharp Defoe was looking in training. Surely a player with an international class as Defoe has is less risky than Walcott and would have been a perfect foil for Owen especially as he is now on his way home injured. Alternatively Sven could have taken one less midfielder for an extra striker as the Italians have done. Sorry Sven but you are clueless !!!
