It sounds (i.e has the same tune) as "Go West" first published by the Village People in the 1970's and then covered by the Pet Shop Boys in 1993, but the words (or at least what I can tell from the words listening to the BBC's Stadium mike feed) aren't anything like the words it should be if that was the case.

Im not sure,Ive never heard the song being played after a match but the official anthem for this world cup is "celebrate the day".That could be it.
but i heard people say that the song is Go West by the Pet Shop Boys.
but i think the song is indeed "Stand Up! (Champions' Theme)" performed by Patrizio Buanne
one of these three could be the one u're looking for..

Its the petshop boys go west but remixed to, stand up for the champions, if it ever released I will find and poke with a stick anybody that buys it.

It is "Go West" by The Pet Shop Boys.
Not sure why they play it after every match though.

it is go west, but new lyrics, probably those off the adverts-go east, chinese, indian, thai...but more likely to be a german song.
though i do no that it's the fifa/world cup anthem for 06.
