Anyone else think that they should be moved up to 1-A? They deserved that win AT MICHIGAN. If they don't win a AA championship, I would be shocked.

I think the hole Ronnie Brown , jesse chatman thing is a bunch of bull. Ronnie has started 3 years and been more productive than Cadillac and Cedric Benson. Chatman has never seen action in his life during the regular season. Im a dolphins fan and i think Ronnie will bounch back from all this negative stuff and have one of the best seasons he's ever had. Please write and tell me what you think...

I by no means like Notre Dame, but I am looking forward to seeing him in action. He's supposed the be the next big thing in football. Was anyone actually pulling for one of the other QBs to get the job (besides parents and high school coaches)? How do you think he'll do, bad or really bad? He is after all a true freshman.

do you also hate your favorite teams state rival. Example, I am an Auburn fan, their rival is Alabama, and I cannot stand them, I cheer for them to lose no matter who they play. Some people tell me i'm wrong and that I should support my state team until they play my team, because that's where I am from, but I can't. Do you do this, or are you able to have your favorite and hate the other only when they are playing eachother?

Every sport has that one true icon. Baseball has Babe Ruth. Basketball has Michael Jordan. Golf has Tiger Woods. Hockey has Wayne Gretzky. Boxing has Muhammed Ali. Who is football's most iconic figure?

I am NOT a racists person so dont think I am with asking this question but it seems as if the only people sticking up for Vick are people of the same color. This guy got caught red handed plain and simple. He is wrong and how can anyone support this guy. Using such excuses as it is the same as hunting. Hunting is NOT illegal!!!!! Besides killing an aminal while hunting, is a humane way of doing it. Vick and his friends tortured and murdered these dogs and not in a humane way. Would you rather me shoot you in the head or drown/electrocute you and then shoot you in the head? We are not in Puerto Rico either Goldberg. Last time I checked, I lived in the USA. I do not recall anyone making up excuses for the accused in the Enron case.....

I'm not saying they're Top 10, but they just went to the Big House and beat the nation's 5th-ranked team. Even Michigan is still slotted at #33 (in the "others receiving votes" section). Shouldn't the Mountaineers at least be somewhere around, say, 24 or 25?

I was looking at the rankings today and it moved Cal. and Georgia up in the rankings but they moved Ohio State back one position in the rankings and since im a Buckeyes fan that makes me mad.Which i understand that Cal. moved up because they beat tennesee but they didnt beat them by much but since michigan lost Cal took the extra spot left but why does Georgia get to move up in front of Ohio State when Georgia didnt beat Oklahoma state by alot and Ohio state beat youngstown by quite a bit but i was wondering how Georgia got to move in front of Ohio state.

What's the point of defering to other team after you win a coin toss? Is there some advantage I'm missing?

I live in the Greater New York Area, and have become a fan of college football in the past years. Now its time to pick a team to follow for this season. I'm partial to the ACC, but I wont limit myself. Make a suggestion and support your argument. Simply saying a team is good wont cut it, defend your case with tradition and history. . . I'm a Jets fan for peats sake I can handle disappointment.

I am not a Seahawks or Steelers fan. I heard this theory from my marketing professor. The NFL is a major business and it's all about making money. The Super Bowl generates so much hype and revenue for the league. The Steelers have a very large fan base, thus the league gets even higher ratings when the Steelers are in the Super Bowl. There are many more Steelers fans than Seahawks fans, therefore the league wanted the Steelers to win because they could generate more money on champion memorabilia (shirts, hats, DVDs, etc.) Then there's the whole deal with Bettis playing in his hometown of Detroit. Super Bowl XL was the final game televised on ABC, a station which had a long relationship with the NFL. Disney owns ABC. The league wanted a Cinderella ending for Bettis' career and the amazing Steelers playoff run as a 6th seed. Disney has players say they are going to Disney World, and they wanted to build up the whole "dreams really do come true" stuff because it was a feel good story.

Assuming Appalachian State goes undefeated
and all of the D1-A/Bowl Subdivision teams have one loss...

will the Boise State fans/people who think Boise State should have gotten a chance in the National Championship Game last year stand up and say that App State deserves a shot at the 1-A NC?

I obviously think that people are logical enough not to....they are two seperate divisions
but I thought people would realize last year that Boise State played a schedule that is awefully simliar to that of a D-1 AA team.

Louisiana Tech
Northern Arizona
Wyoming
Western Carolina
Lenoir-Rhyne
Southern Miss

which three are Bowl Subdivision and which three are Championship Subdivision....I bet Boise State fans can barely tell

-------------that's quite a rant...I know....I just hope people see the point
(just because you go undefeated, doesn't mean you're one of the 2 best teams in the country)
