It doesn't have to be the biggest, or loudest....but what is your favorite college football stadium and why?

I like War Memorial Stadium at The University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. It has a beautiful view of the Laramie Mountain Range to the east, and the front range of the Rockies to the west. The south end zone is flanked by large fir & spruce trees. Former BYU & NFL Hall of Fame QB Steve Young once said that War Memorial Stadium in Laramie is "the toughest stadium I've ever played in."

*It is worth noting that at an elevation of 7,220 feet, War Memorial Stadium is the highest Division I football stadium in America.

The Houston Texans have a great franchise name, but to be honest, it doesn't compare with the great tradition of the Oilers. Which would you rather have, the navy bull mascot with the Texas flag -OR- the great red, white, & blue oil derrick logo? Houston TEXANS or Houston OILERS?

Me? I wish they'd go back to the Oilers. The Oilers conjure up memories of Bruce Matthews, Warren Moon, & Earl Campbell. The Texans conjure up memories of passing up on Reggie Bush and an organization banking on the breakout of tailback Dominick Davis.

I assume they are since ESPN predicted that the New Orleans Saints would be in the Super Bowl and that Penn State was a top 5 ranked team in college. It is no wonder everyone west of the Mississippi thinks Michael Vick is a total moron for smoking pot while he is under arrest and getting ready to be sentenced to 2 years in prison. It is no wonder everyone thinks northeast yankees are morons thanks to the predictions at ESPN. Here is a tip for you people on the east coast. DON'T SMOKE POT IT IS ILLEGAL. I HOPE THAT TIP HELPS.

I'm writing a paper for my english class on how PSU may have a chance on winning the Big Ten title (originally the NC) but anyways.. i'm coming up short. i need at least 4 pages, i only have 3.. 1 or 2 good paragrahs should do it.

So, if anyone knows
- what the alum stats are ticket sales (for a paragraph i already have).
- or a good reason that i could use in my paper on why we have a chance to win (ie; good o-line or defense) with some detail
would be great.

oh, & if you're a biiter fan over the loss last week or a UM or OSU fan.. i realllllly don't need any negative feedback. I'm just as pissed about the loss as any--but i chose my topic, its too late to change it now.

thanks sooo much. :)

Is it his attitude? Does he lack talent? I remember hearing an interview with him and he admitted that in one game he didn't "try as hard as he could." What kind of pro athlete says something like that?

So i was wondering if anyone out there could clue me in on either specific sections at giant stadium (i think thats where the jets play!?) or in general what is ideal seating. THANKS!!

In an interview on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel (taped before the start of the season), Donovan McNabb said that black QB's are judged more harshly than white QB's.

Some have responded by calling McNabb a mediocre QB, claiming that is why he has faced so much criticism over the years.

This reaction only bolsters McNabb's point... given his numbers, it's absurd to call him mediocre, and it calls into question his critics' knowledge of the game at the very least.

According to The Elias Sports Bureau,

http://www.profootballhof.com/hof/story.jsp?story_id=2356

at the start of the 2007 season 148 quarterbacks had made at least 1,500 career pass attempts... of these 148, McNabb is ranked 13th in career passer rating. That's higher than Brett Favre, Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, and numerous other white QB's who have been given more respect than McNabb.

When you add to this his impressive running ability, it's clear that he's one of the best QB's of all time.
