They really gave him longer than most teams would have to prove himself. I think he is probably immature and has said things that hurt his image as well as not performed on the field. He is capable of having a great game occasionally, but not often enough to be tolerated in a starting role. He has also had a lot of dropped balls this season. The Bears won a NFC title last year with great defensive play and just enough offense to get the job done usually. This year the defense is not performing either so unless things change really fast in Chicago, they won't be going to the SB again ( to get beat by the usually much better AFC champ) for a long time.

We'll know more after Sunday's game. If Griese turns the team around, we'll know how bad Rex was. If the bears still play the same, then it wasn't the qb, but the rest of the team.

while still open, the bears window to win based on that great D, is closing. they had a lot of injuries vs. dallas. because of that and in spite of the fact that the bears have a lot invested in g-man, they had to make a switch. however, griese may not be much better than rex. then what?

better not let giresi any were near a drink.
last time he started he was drunk and triped over his dog
and feel down the steps.
he is better than rex for now he will not turn it over as much.
also easy part of schedule is comming up so they should be fine.If you guys had chad pennington as the starting qb on your team you would win the super bowl.

I think it needed to be done. Although they didn't want to, because, its hard to get a new QB warmed up to the rest of the team to see how they play together. They finally admitted to themselves that something had to be done about his poor playing.
