No Steve Spurrier coached QB will ever succeed in the NFL.
Before I get bombarded from UF fans, or even USC(the other one) fans, let me explain because I know, even though I dislike him A LOT, he's a great college football coach.
Steve would always teach his QB's the throw to "a spot" on the field, regardless where the defender was or what defense they are in. Yes, this will work in the college level, most of the time, but as we have seen over and over again at the NFL level, no Steve Spurrier QB has never and will never do well. Even when Steve had his short-lived stay in D.C., his system just didn't work at the NFL level.

Its a combination of things. Yes, his attitude - look at him on the sidelines, he always just seems like he's staring into space, completely oblivious to the fact that there is a game going on around him. He seems like a real loner. That's not exactly what you want out of your team leader. He makes some poor decisions, and isn't incredibly accurate, but he does have a big arm. I really don't think it's a lack of talent. His biggest problem recently could be that he hasn't had much help in his play calling. Remember last season when he had some big games? Those games came from running the ball effectively and setting up the playaction, which lets him air it out and show off that big arm. He also had more involvement from the tight ends during those games, which really helps him because he is not great at reading defenses, so he needs a good dump off. All those things have combined to make him ineffective.

Its Attitude for starters.
The guy doesn't even listen to his QB coach or the QB huttle during a game. He wants to have "only his thoughts" in his head so he doesn't discuss mistakes, match ups, or anything like EVERYONE else does.
He has the Arm. Has the receivers. Has the O-line. Hes a stubborn guy and plays with too much hubris.

I think it's because of poor decisions on the field. He tries to put the ball in areas where he shouldn't be throwing the ball. As a result, he turns the ball over way too much. He's not very good at managing a game and going to his second, third, and fourth options when his #1 option is double or triple teamed. He forces throws and has a gunslinger mentality when he should concentrate on just making sure they don't turn the ball over.

rex flat out sucks. it's not his attitude. it is "his lack of talent". the reason he didn't try as hard was because he couldn't and still can't. rex's better days were in florida and that is not saying much.

Lack of talent, only an idiot would even draft him. Grossman played on a winning college team but he was unimpressive.
